I was really hoping Sammy would hit the homerun off the Cubs. As stated before it would really be poetic justice. In fact, It turned out to have a little extra poetry as the Pitcher he hit number 600 off (Jason Marquis), who is also the first Cub to wear Sammy’s old number 21. Not surprisingly, the the press has now focused on whether or not Sammy Sosa should be a Hall of Famer. My feelings on the steriod era is pretty clear. Just do a search for steriods, Barry Bonds or Sammy Sosa in my blog and you’ll find plenty of information. In my opinion, there is no question Sammy Sosa should be a Hall of Famer. I also believe that by the time Sammy is eligible for the Hall, sports writers will be over the whole blackballing sluggers from the ’90s kick. Congrats Sammy!
Next up:
Tomorrow the Cubs will be taking on the Sox for inter-city Domination. The Cubs and Sox will both be pulling out their aces. Carlos Zambrano will be taking out Mark Buehrle. It is on WGN so all those not in the Chicago area have no excuse not to watch.

Yes agreed!
I hate how the baseball media has thrown Sammy to the grinder.
I think he still has talent, and hopefully a team needing his bat will sign him for 08.
