With Soriano out for a few days, Jim Hendry and Lou Piniella thought it was a good time to bring up the highly prized uber prospect Felix Pie. Pie had a decent debut. He went only went 1 for 6 but his one hit was an important one. He doubled home a run and later scored. Defensively he showed off and impressive arm in the 10th inning nailing a runner trying to score. I must admit, Pie has done everything he has been asked to do and deserved a chance to be here. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jones traded in the next few months to allow Pie a spot in the outfield in manages to impress management while Soriano is nursing his hamstring. At this point it’s too early to tell if he’s ready for the show but I look forward to watching him over the next week.
